Merryland International School is proud to announce the launch of Inktober 2025, a global art challenge that celebrates creativity, imagination, and personal growth. This year’s event is hosted by MIS Flicker Studios, giving our talented students a stage to showcase their artistry and join a worldwide community of creators.

Art is not just about perfection—it is about expression, discipline, and inspiring others through imagination.

“So… what’s Inktober?”

Inktober is a global art challenge held every October where artists commit to making ink drawings inspired by given prompts. Think of it like a daily gym for your creativity. The focus is not on producing a masterpiece each day, but on making consistent progress and developing the discipline of creativity.

• It is about expression, not perfection.
• It is about progress, not pressure.
• It is about sharing your story with the world.

• Strengthen your creative and artistic skills through practice.
• Share your unique imagination with the Merryland family.
• Connect with a global community of artists.
• Inspire others in your class, your school, and beyond.
• Have your art proudly displayed during assemblies, school corridors, and broadcasts.

Remember: Every sketch counts—whether you draw daily or occasionally. What matters is that you try!

“How does it work?”

✔ Create – Use the weekly prompts as your inspiration. Your medium can be pen and ink, paint, digital art, animation, or even 3D work. Creativity has no limits here!
✔ Submit – Upload your artwork through the official MIS portal [Insert Submission Link].
✔ Share – Every Monday, the week’s best submissions will be showcased during assembly, with your name proudly announced. If you prefer, you can use a mysterious artist name instead.
✔ Shine – Selected masterpieces will feature in school broadcasts, be highlighted on the MIS website, and displayed on our school corridors.

Note: You can choose your own pace—upload daily, every other day through the Google Form on our school website (the half-marathon route), or once a week (the 5K route). What matters most is staying consistent. Inktober is all about growth, improvement, and building positive creative habits—the more regularly you create, the more you’ll see yourself progress.

You may draw one, two, or all of them—at your own pace.

A Message to Our Artists

• “I can’t draw every day…” That’s okay! Every artwork you make is valuable.
• “But my art isn’t perfect…” Exactly! Inktober is about growth, not perfection.
• “What if nobody likes my art?” At MIS, your effort, courage, and creativity are celebrated above all else.

Remember: Art is freedom. It is your story, your vision, and your voice.
