National Day Celebrations and Commemoration of Martyr’s day

Dear parents,

Kindly note that leading up to the 47th National Day of the UAE, there will be some changes to our daily schedules.  Kindly note that school attendance is required as usual Sunday through Thursday but your children will take part in activities related to National Day celebrations on Wednesday and Martyr’s Day observance on Thursday.

-Wednesday, 28th November 2018

National Day celebrations will be held at school. Various events will be hosted to highlight the Spirit of the Union. Children may dress in Abaya & Sheila (Girls), Kandoura & Qutra (Boys) or clothing representing the UAE National Flag colours (red/ black/ white/green). Any inappropriate material on the clothing will result in a call home. Mobile phones, music players, etc., will not be permitted.

-Thursday, 29th November 2018

Commemoration of Martyr’s day will take place at school. At 8:00 am the UAE Flag shall be flown at half-mast. At 11:30 am a minute of silence will be observed followed by the ceremony of raising the UAE flag that will be accompanied by the National Anthem. Children must wear their full school uniform or UAE military uniform.

*There will be no stay back/ after-school classes, clubs or sports this day.

-Sunday, 2nd December 2018 and Monday, 3rd December 2018 the school will remain closed in observance of the 47th National Day of the UAE, as declared by the UAE Council and prescribed by ADEK.
