Dear Parents,
Merryland considers the safety and well-being of your children, our students, as the priority in everything we do. As such, and in accordance with ADEK’s instructions to schools, we must insist that you do not send your children to school beginning Sunday, 8th March, and families should plan to have them out of school for at least the next 4 weeks while the facilities are deep cleaned and, hopefully, the infection rates fall.
Schools have been directed to move Spring Break Holiday for students forward on the school calendar, to be observed 8th March through 19th March. While students are observing the break, Merryland teachers and staff will be working hard to ensure we have prepared robust online learning support to supplement the physical packets sent home for all students. This online learning will begin on 22nd March and your children will need motivation and supervision from you.
We will be sending additional information to you in the coming days to detail how this will work but be assured we will be with you every step of the way, utilizing all methods available to us to maintain a very high level of contact and support for you and your child throughout this unusual circumstance.
