The Merryland Farmers Market was formed with the main objective of providing benefit to the students for understanding the business concepts well.
It is indeed a hands on experience.
Students source fruit and vegetables at the best prices from the wholesale market after their cost research.
They visit the nearby supermarkets to know the retail price of fruits and vegetables before deciding the selling price of the products of farmers market.
The products are packed, price tagged, stored hygienically and promotional campaigns are conducted in classrooms.
Advance orders from students are collected on the previous day of the sale and sale estimates are made.
On the day of sale, all stock is sold.
The profit goes to Care and Share, the Philanthropic wing of Merryland.
The whole process gives students a hands-on experience in different areas like
