Vector Club Presents
SKY HIGH CHALLENGE – “DEFY GRAVITY!”
Get ready to reach new heights with the Vector Club! On 22 October, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., our Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 students will take on an exciting engineering adventure where creativity meets Physics!
Can you defy gravity and design a creation that outperforms the rest?
Year 8 – Paper Copter Challenge: Design a paper copter that stays airborne for the longest possible time.
Year 9 – Parachute Challenge: Create a parachute that carries a small payload and takes the longest time to descend.
Year 10 – Paper Aircraft Challenge: Engineer a lightweight paper aircraft that travels a fixed distance in the shortest possible time while maintaining stable flight.
Working in teams of 2–4 students, participants will explore the science of gravity, air resistance, forces, motion and flight. The best proposals will be shortlisted for the final round, where students will build, test and showcase their engineering creations!
Ready to take the challenge?
All interested students are requested to submit their team name, names of all team members, and sections using the designated Google Form for their respective year group. Please ensure that you complete the correct form for your year. The deadline for proposal submission is 19 October.
More than just a competition, Sky High Challenge is an opportunity to think creatively, experiment fearlessly, collaborate effectively and solve problems like real engineers!
Dream it. Design it. Test it. Defy gravity!
