Important Update: PCR testing
Dear Parents,
We have just received an update from ADEK concerning PCR testing for students before re-opening of school. In this regard, please note the following:
PCR TESTING FOR ALL STUDENTS
- All students (KG to Grade 12) will have to maintain a PCR testing validity of 14 days if they are physically returning to school. They can visit the designated center to obtain their free PCR test.
- Young children (below 12 years old) or students of determination will have the option of a saliva PCR test instead of a nasal PCR test.
DESIGNATED PCR TESTING CENTER FOR MERRYLAND
- The designated PCR testing center for students of Merryland is Biogenix Labs – G42 Healthcare – Masdar City

- Students have the option of obtaining a PCR test at any private screening center of their choice at their own cost.

PCR TESTING SCHEDULE FOR MERRYLAND
- Round 1 Testing Date: 26 August 2021 between 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
All students returning physically to school on 29 August 2021 must be tested on this date.
The negative test result from AL HOSN app must be submitted to the class teacher by Saturday, 28th August in order to attend face to face classes.
- Alternate Round 1 Testing Date: 2 September 2021 between 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Students returning physically to school later than 29 August 2021 can be tested on this date. A PCR testing validity of 14 days must be maintained.
- Further changes to the PCR testing requirements will be communicated parents as soon as an update is received.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS ABOVE 16 YEARS
- Vaccination requirements for students above 16 years remain unchanged. They should have started their vaccination journey and must follow the PCR testing schedule if they want to attend school physically.
