What is a prefect?

A prefect is an individual who holds a position of authority, often in a school and is responsible for maintaining order, enforcing rules, and assisting with various administrative or leadership tasks. It generally involves supervising and supporting other members, such as students or subordinates.

Why apply for prefect-ship?

Applying for a prefect-ship in a school can be a very valuable experience for reasons such as:

• Leadership Development: Serving as a prefect provides an opportunity to develop and hone your leadership You will learn how to take on responsibilities, make decisions, and lead.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prefects often have specific duties and responsibilities, such as maintaining order, assisting teachers, or organizing events. This helps the students gain a sense of responsibility.

1. 7. Prefects should encourage and motivate younger

1. 8. Prefects must be the representatives of the school whenever

1. 9. Prefects must serve as a role model for students in the school.

1. 10. Prefects must respect all members of the Student Council and follow their instructions at all

1. 11. Prefects must not be involved in any sort of

1. 12. No prefect will be allowed to take disciplinary action against any child. He/she can point out the mistakes to a teacher or any authorized person.
