MIS Photography Competition 2024-2025
Welcome to our Annual Photography Competition at Merryland International School!
This competition provides a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and talent through photography. Whether you are an experienced photographer or just beginning, this event is for everyone to express themselves, share their vision, and be inspired by the work of others.
COMPETITION RULES:
- Eligibility:
- Open to students in the designated grades as specified.
- Parental consent is required for participation.(download here)
- Submission Requirements:
- Each participant can submit only one photograph per category.
- Photographs must be in digital format (JPEG or PNG) and should not exceed 100 MB in size.
- Originality:
- All entries must be original works photographed by the participant.
- Plagiarism or use of copyrighted material or AI-generated images will result in disqualification.
- Theme Adherence:
- Submissions must align with the specific theme of the category they are entered in.
- Entries that do not adhere to the theme will be disqualified.
- Editing Guidelines:
- No excessive editing or manipulation that alters the original image.
- Submission Deadline:
- All entries must be submitted by 22nd October 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Judging Criteria:
- Photographs will be judged based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme.
- Disqualification:
- Entries that violate any of the rules will be disqualified.
CATEGORIES:
- Grades 4, 5, and 6: Sunsets in the UAE
- Grades 7, 8, and 9: Flora & Fauna in the UAE
- Grades 10, 11, and 12: Landmarks of the UAE
- MIS School Faculty: Emirati Cuisine
