We at Merryland International School are incredibly proud to highlight the outstanding achievements of our students at Abu Dhabi University’s Annual Mathematics Contest. Their consistent success shows their dedication, our exceptional mathematics department’s hardwork, and the support of our entire school community. 12th Annual Mathematics Contest (2024–25)
National Glory at Abu Dhabi University – Al Ain Campus!
On April 26, 2025, Abu Dhabi University’s Al Ain Campus hosted the prestigious 12th Annual National Mathematics Contest. This national-level competition brought together over 220 teams from 110 schools across the UAE, showcasing mathematical talent and academic excellence.
We are immensely proud to announce that both teams from Merryland International School were shortlisted among the top 15 teams for Round 2—a remarkable accomplishment that highlights their analytical acumen and competitive spirit.
One of our teams soared to victory, securing the coveted:
3rd Place – Abdelrahman Samir (11D) & Bishoy Awny (11E)
They were awarded iPads and Certificates of Excellence for their brilliant performance!
Amidst fierce competition and high standards, our students once again proved they belong at the top. Bravo, Team MIS! Your success is a testament to your perseverance, grace, and the abundant blessings of God. You’ve carried forward our legacy with pride, filling the Merryland family with immense joy.

In another edition of this prestigious contest, Merryland raised the bar even higher by claiming the top two positions among 350+ students from 80+ schools across the UAE!

Abu Dhabi University hosted its prestigious 10th Annual Mathematics Contest, where students from across the UAE competed in a rigorous, day-long challenge designed to test their mathematical prowess and problem-solving skills.
As part of the university’s initiative to promote mathematics as a cornerstone of academic excellence, the contest welcomed nearly 350 high school students from Grades 11 and 12, representing over 80 schools, all eager to showcase their talent.
Among this highly competitive field, Merryland International School stood out, with our students achieving top honours:
- 1st Place – Yassir Mohammed (12C) & Nanda Venugopal (12B)
- 3rd Place – Aman Hamidsha (12E) & Youssef Mohammed (11C)
