Success at Mubarmij Al Emarat 2025: Building Next Generation of Innovators

MERRYLAND INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL proudly celebrates the exceptional performance of our students in the Mubarmij Al Emarat Competition, a prestigious national AI and robotics event organized by Sandooq Al Watan.
On November 8, 2025, 22 students from our school participated in the competition held at the Energy Center in Abu Dhabi. This event brought together young innovators from across the UAE to demonstrate their skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Coding.

Mission: Lunar Base Operations 2040
The competition theme was a challenging, futuristic scenario: Lunar Base Operations in 2040. Our students, competing in the Novices and Pioneers categories, were tasked with designing and programming autonomous robots to successfully execute critical missions on a simulated lunar surface.
These missions required them to integrate advanced technology for tasks such as transporting resources, collecting samples, and using AI vision for anomaly detection.

Highlights of Our Achievement
The dedication of our 22 students and 4 teacher mentors was evident in their performance, which showcased remarkable teamwork, creativity, and technical ability. All our competing teams successfully assembled and calibrated their robots under pressure. Our Pioneers teams demonstrated strong command of technology, with one team achieving a significant milestone: real-time object detection using advanced models. The event provided invaluable exposure to industry-standard technologies and real-world engineering challenges, reinforcing our school’s commitment to STEAM excellence.
The journey, which included an intensive 8-week robotics bootcamp, has equipped our students with vital 21st-century skills and a passion for innovation.

Congratulations to all the participating students for representing Merryland International School with such distinction!
