
An assembly on nature was conducted for the kindergarteners. The assembly started with the head boy of the kindergarten section emceeing the program. Guests were welcomed and the assembly started with a short speech about Nature and how to save nature. The program also included songs by junior and senior kindergartners, quotes on nature both in English and Arabic, poem on nature. Witnessing the assembly the children understood the importance of saving nature and the way they can take care and preserve nature for a better tomorrow.
During this Nature Day Assembly a new initiative was started – Merry Farm. Children were made aware of how businesses could play an important role in conserving and saving nature. The Merry Farm initiative was for children to sell small saplings, which would be taken care of at home to make the world a better place. All earnings from selling saplings at Merry Farm would be donated to Red Crescent.
The assembly concluded with children as a whole singing the song “The earth is my home.”
This was followed by a rally inside the school where children marched around the school holding placards on how to save nature and was witnessed by the Senior students of Merryland.
