Physical Development helps kids to grow in a healthy way and it also promotes fine and gross motor skills. Young children are naturally active and will move, run, kick, throw and play on their own in nearly any environment. Junior and senior MIS kindergartners enjoy their PD class with a variety of activities such as range of motion, loco motor skills, non-loco motor skills, gross motor skills and some basic gymnastics.
The children of kindergarten celebrated oral hygiene week which culminated at the end of the week with the school nurse explaining to the children about personal and oral hygiene. Flag Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed becoming President of the country in 2004. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together to celebrate the rich history and culture of this country. MIS kindergarteners celebrated the event with much enthusiasm. The children were briefed about the importance of this day and why it is celebrated.
An awareness was created among the young learners on how to save our mother Earth through songs, videos and through interaction with the children questioning them about ways of saving nature and children enthusiastically and appropriately answered and were aware of ways and means to save our planet earth.
It was really charming to watch MIS promote healthy eating habits. As a part of Cookery Club Activity, the children were involved in various events such as ‘Dress & Talk Show’ and making ‘Healthy Sandwich’. The junior and senior kindergartners of Merryland celebrated Freshers’ day on 2nd September 2022 a day to mark the welcoming of junior kindergartners to the Merryland family. The senior kindergartners welcomed the junior kindergartners with a warm welcome card. The kids exchanged handshakes and were greeted by senior KG classes and junior kindergartners were reassured of a fruitful and pleasant school year.
