Merryland International School participated in the 6th National Math Contest 2018 conducted on the 3rd February, 2018 at Abu Dhabi University, Al Ain Campus. Out of the 75 teams, our students Sharjeel and Asadullah of Grade 12 have won the second position. Like the seasons, our school magazine has evolved through the years for the better. Going from a physical publication to an online magazine has saved us from consuming further water and cutting down trees. Our fellow students have improved the overall theme of the magazine along with their admirable writing skills by acquiring knowledge from previous releases. Thus, we must remember that change is for the better, and we should embrace it.
Merryland Kings – Undisputed Soccer Champions Merryland International won Under-8 and Under-10 Football Tournament held by SEPT Academy at Al Dhafra Private School ground. Andy Fernando (Under-8) was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition Thirteen Merrylanders have been awarded the Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition Awards by the Royal Commonwealth Society, London. This famous competition is conducted every year to provide a unique opportunity for young people throughout the commonwealth to take part in a global educational project. The winners are… All of them have already displayed their excellent writing skills and have won several prizes in different creative writing competitions held in the school.
MONOLOGUE COMPETITION The objective of the Department of English was to offer better opportunities and platform for students to achieve the finesse over the language. Keeping in mind the facts, along with many other competitions, the Department of English organized a monologue delivery competition on 25th October 2017, in which grades 7, 8 and 9 partook. The Department of English has been conducting various competitions, talent shows etc. since the start of this academic year and ‘Creative Writing’ was one of the most opted skills by the pupils.
